Twenty candidates will be selected to participate in the apprenticeship program, which Grand Formosa Taipei terms as a pioneering concept in Taiwan’s hotel industry. All candidates will receive renumeration during the one-year program. Grand Formosa Regent Taipei said that the candidates will undergo a rigorous rotational training program which will give them the opportunity to come into contact with various areas of the hotel’s operation. “Each apprentice will be tested on a weekly and monthly basis based on what they have learned,” Grand Formosa Regent said in a press statement. “At the end of the rotation, apprentices will sit for a final test with questions set by department leaders, a training manager, and the General Manager.” Candidates with a score of 90% or higher will be promoted to Assistant Department Leader level and those with scores between 80 and 90 percent will be assigned as Section Leaders. “In our business environment today, soft skills are essential in driving the long-term success of a business,” Borrello said. “It is therefore our steadfast endeavor to offer superior opportunities to those who are interested in learning about our industry and becoming future hospitality leaders in Taiwan.” Prospective applicants to the program should possess a keen interest in the industry and a clear career aspiration, Grand Formosa Regent said. | ![]() Grand Formosa Regent will begin a Management Apprenticeship Program in which the hotel will train qualified candidates for leadership positions over a period of one ...
