Revenue gained 76 percent to NT$370 billion, which compared with a forecast of NT$368.3 billion. The Taiwan company said in July it planned to form a strategic alliance with Taiwanese digital camera maker Ability to expand its business in the consumer electronics sector. Asustek competes with Acer Inc. in its own-brand business and electronics maker Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. in its contract manufacturing segment.
