Taiwan manufacturers invited to Vietnam show

The Vietnamese government is inviting Taiwanese manufacturers to take part in the Agroviet 2007 International Agricultural Exhibition slated for late September, an official with the quasi-official Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said Sunday.

According to the official, the agricultural show will be held Sept. 26-30 at the Vietnam Agricultural Fair and Exhibition Center in Hanoi City under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Agricultural Marketing Fair and Exhibition Center.

Coinciding with the five-day exhibition, organizers will sponsor seminars on fostering Taiwanese manufacturers’ investment in Vietnamese agriculture and rural development projects as well as various trade opportunities and challenges facing business people after Vietnam’s entry into the World Trade Organization, the official said.

Manufacturers devoted to producing farm and forestal products, drinks and beverage, seasoned food and seeds, as well as industrialists devoted to agricultural technology research and development and services concerning agricultural and forestal production and processing are suited to attend the exhibition.

Those wishing to take part in the exhibition are required to register with organizers prior to August 15, the official pointed out.
