China Steel’s Aug. sales up 51% to NT$26.5 billion

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- China Steel Corp., Taiwan’s largest maker of the metal, said sales climbed 51 percent in August from the same month a year earlier.

Sales rose to NT$26.5 billion, the Kaohsiung, Taiwan based company said in a filing to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday, without providing a comparative figure.
