DHL wins Asia's most trusted brand award

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- DHL was awarded its sixth consecutive Trusted Brand Award in the 'Airfreight/Courier Service' category at the highly acclaimed Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2014 in Asia.
Clearly surpassing the competition, DHL was also awarded the Platinum standard in Singapore and Hong Kong where it achieved a rating score three times the next brand's and was given a Gold standard in Malaysia and Taiwan.
Into its 16th year, the award is based on a survey comprising of 7,000 respondents in seven markets across Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Thailand. DHL has secured top rankings in all markets whose Trusted Brand Awards feature the 'Airfreight/Courier Service' category.
"Trust is at the root of brand value and for over 40 years in Asia Pacific, the DHL brand has become a trusted and reliable partner that our customers have come to rely upon," says Jerry Hsu (許克威), chief executive officer (CEO), DHL Express Asia Pacific. "As a global trade facilitator, we recognize that it is not just about getting the basics right when it comes to moving shipments, but also about instilling confidence in our customers through a can-do attitude and strong local knowledge."
The company has also invested significantly in employee training through its award-wining Certified International Specialist (CIS) program. Since its launch in 2010, the program has seen all 100,000 employees of DHL Express receive world-class comprehensive training in the fundamentals of international shipping and company strategy.
In 2013, all DHL Express Managers in Asia Pacific along with over 10,000 managers across the network took part in the Certified International Manager program - a 3-day course designed to create a team of DHL Express managers who are inspired and capable of delivering 21st Century Leadership.
Today, DHL continues to extend its world-class solutions to some of the world's most prestigious and monumental performances and events including Cirque du Soleil, Formula 1 races and Rugby World Cup 2015. The company also recently completed a successful move of two giant pandas - Hao Hao and Xing Hui - from Chengdu to Brussels.
Inaugurated in 1999, the annual Reader's Digest Asia's Trusted Brands Awards aim to identify brands in Asia that have gained prominence and confidence among consumers. The survey is carried out via written questionnaires, telephone, online and face-to face interviews with 7,000 consumers for over 42 categories per country.
