Stellar December revenues for Formosa Plastics Group

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The four arms of the Formosa Plastics Group (FPG, 台塑集團) yesterday announced stellar revenues for December of last year.

Among the four arms of the conglomerate, the Formosa Petrochemical Co. (台塑石化) recorded a 10.9 percent improvement on a month-on-month basis, while Formosa Plastics Co. (台塑) revenues gained 28.6 percent year-on-year.

Overall, FPG accumulated revenues of NT$171.191 billion, up 8.1 percent month-on-month, while improving 14.2 percent year-on-year. Over the course of last year, FPG garnered revenues of NT$1.9018 trillion, up 6.6 percent year-on-year.

In December last year, revenues for Formosa Plastics Co. sat at NT$19.882 billion, up 7.4 percent month-on-month, improving 28.6 percent year-on-year, while recording revenues of NT$215.425 billion throughout 2013, gaining 9.4 percent year-on-year.

In the last month of 2013, Nan Ya Plastics Co. (南亞) recorded revenues of NT$27.569 billion, up 4.4 percent month-on-month, improving 9.5 percent year-on-year, while recording revenues of NT$311.04 billion throughout 2013, gaining 3.4 percent year-on-year.

The Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Co. (台化) last December recorded revenues of NT$39.142 billion, up 4.8 percent month-on-month, improving 11.3 percent year-on-year, while recording revenues of NT$444.003 billion, gaining 13.4 percent year-on-year.

The Formosa Petrochemical Co. last December recorded revenues of NT$89.598 billion, gaining 10.9 percent month-on-month, and 14.1 percent year-on-year, while accumulating revenues of NT$931.334 billion throughout the course of 2013, up 4.1 percent year-on-year.
