A delegation led by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA, 外貿協會) Executive Vice President Walter Yeh (葉明水) participated an annual meeting of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) held in the United States earlier this week, TAITRA said.
The IAEE is the leading association for the global exhibition industry. The just-concluded annual meeting was held on Dec. 10-12 in Houston, Texas. More than 2,000 experts in the field from 29 countries around the world joined the IAEE annual meeting, TAITRA said in a statement.
Yeh and the delegation flew to the U.S. on Dec. 7 to join the event. The group concluded the trip on Dec. 11, it noted.
During its visit, the TAITRA delegation signed an agreement with the IAEE to continue to work on the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), an internationally recognized certificate in the field of global exhibition industry.
The cooperation is expected to boost Taiwan's visibility in the global exhibition industry, TAITRA added.
