Event in Taipei to match investors with start-ups
CNATAIPEI--A match-making event for innovative teams and angel investors is scheduled to be held in Taipei next week as part of government efforts to encourage entrepreneurship among local youth, the organizers said Friday.

Vying for possible business opportunities, 16 teams will showcase their innovations, including a cloud-based medical service platform, a disaster evacuation system, an electron microscope and a magnetic cooling system.
“The half-day event will serve as a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to pitch their ideas,” the National Applied Research Laboratories said in a press release.
The organizers said venture capitalists and angel investors will be invited to share their insights and help implement the ideas.
Among the capitalists and investors will be representatives from Hiwin Technologies Corp., Chunghwa Telecom Co., the Far Eastern Group, the Ruentex Financial Group and MediaTek Inc.
