The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Korea International Trade Association will sign a cooperation pact Sept. 24, agreeing to form an on-line alliance by setting up a specially designated web page on Taiwantrade.com.tw and Tradekorea.com, respectively.
“Such a deal will strengthen bilateral trade relations and economic cooperation between Taiwan and South Korea,” TAITRA said in a statement yesterday.
On Sept. 24, a forum featuring the South Korean market will also take place at the International Trade Building, attended by experts from home and abroad who will share their insight and experience in marketing in the economy, it added.
The global e-commerce market has grown by an average of 19 percent per year since 2010, and is expected to reach US$1 trillion in turnover this year, according to TAITRA.
