Flat panel capacity set to reach 90% by Q4 '13: firm

Capacity utilization for flat panel manufacturers across the globe is expected to reach 90 percent by the fourth quarter of next year, predicted market research firm WitsView yesterday.

WitsView based its forecast on various positive factors, including manufacturers' diversification strategy as well as China's incentives to encourage people to get more large-screen flat-panel TVs.

According to WitsView, capacity utilization for large-size panel manufacturers is at about 82 percent in the current quarter.
