US dollar gains NT$0.034 to finish trading at NT$29.402 on local forex

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.034 to close at NT$29.402.

Turnover totaled about US$550 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at NT$29.370 and moved between NT$29.230 and NT$29.405 before the close.
