US dollar sheds NT$0.017 to close trade at NT$29.388 on Taipei forex

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar fell against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, shedding NT$0.017 to close at NT$29.388.

Turnover totaled US$519 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at the day's high of NT$29.405, off a low of NT$29.290 before the close.
