Taitronics to underscore island's industrial upgrade

TAIPEI -- The 38th Taipei International Electronics Show (Taitronics) will highlight Taiwan's industrial upgrade from hardware manufacturing to the development of smart living technologies in a bid to improve the island's global competitiveness, the organizers said yesterday.

The annual electronics fair, co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, will be held Oct. 9-12 alongside the Broadband Taiwan and Cloud & IOT Taiwan shows.

Taitronics will showcase various electronic components including batteries and power supplies, LED lighting devices, wires and cables, smart living technologies and consumer electronics, the organizers said.
