Free mobile app to promote trade in Nanjing unveiled by trade promoter

TAIPEI -- Taiwan's top trade promoter unveiled on Tuesday a free Mandarin-language mobile application that provides information and yellow-page services related to businesses in Nanjing to help Taiwanese vendors tap into the Chinese city's market.

“It is just a first step,” said Peter Huang, deputy secretary-general of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which wrote the app.

“As Taiwan's main trade promotion body, TAITRA is working on other apps for different cities in China, and there will be more to come,” he added.
