Taiwanese entrepreneurs looking for new opportunities in Iraq: TAITRACNA TAIPEI -- Taiwan has set its sights on Iraq in its bid to promote exports to that country, according to Taiwan's main trade promotion body.
September 13, 2012, 12:03 am TWN The Iraqi government has been very active in opening its market to foreign countries after the United States completed its troop withdrawal from the second-largest country in the Middle East in December 2011, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said in a statement Tuesday. “There are huge reconstruction related business and investment opportunities,” it said, adding that there is massive demand for power supply equipment, infrastructure and machinery.
