Hsinchu park's power outage won't affect shipments: TSMC

A power outage at the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park yesterday will not affect shipments from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the firm said.

The outage only lasted 0.14 to 0.22 seconds and produced minimal impact on TSMC, which is supported with the UPS emergency power supply system, it said.

Production went back to normal at 1 p.m. yesterday, TSMC said.
