Institute and New Taipei City Police collaborate on WiMAX surveillanceThe China Post news staff The Institute for Information Industry (III) has teamed up with the New Taipei City Police Department to build a WiMAX-based surveillance system, it announced yesterday.

According to III, the system was deployed during this year's Fulong Music Festival, with the institute helping New Taipei City Police plan and set up the system. III also announced other WiMAX applications, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. |
