US dollar closes lower on Taipei forex, dropping to NT$31.979

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar fell against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, dropping NT$0.037 to close at NT$31.979.

Turnover totaled US$594 million during the trading session.

The greenback opened at NT$32.106, and moved between NT$31.950 and NT$32.072 before the close.
