Quanta reports significant growth in August shipments to 4.4 mil. units

Last month, the company shipped out 4.4 million notebooks, a significant rise from July's 3.6 million.

The company has predicted shipments will grow in the third quarter compared to the second, yet has maintained its target for the year at 50 million.

As the firm has shipped out 24.7 million in the first half, it will have to ship out at least 25.3 million in the second.

The firm yesterday also reported August sales of NT$86.429 billion, a month-over-month growth of 0.3 percent and year-over-year growth of 43.9 percent.
