US Fed should consider reducing bond buys: Richmond Fed chief

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- The U.S. Federal Reserve should consider cutting short its US$600 billion bond-buying stimulus program as the economy shows signs of improvement, Richmond Fed President Jeffrey Lacker said on Thursday.

“I haven't made up my mind yet,” Lacker told reporters at a conference sponsored by his bank. “The flow of data since December has made me think it's even more worth examining.
