AUBURN HILLS, Michigan –– Chrysler LLC Chairman and Executive Bob Nardelli said the auto
maker should be able to meet its job-cutting goals without antagonizing the United Auto Workers. Chrysler also announced an offer that caps the price of gasoline at US$2.99 (euro1.93) a gallon (3.8 liters) for three years for people who buy or lease new vehicles from Wednesday through June 2. The offer is based on 12,000 miles (19,311 kilometers) of driving per year at the vehicle’s rated fuel economy.
