Boat capsizes in central Vietnam, killing 6 children

HANOI, Vietnam -- Vietnamese state media says six children are dead after a boat capsized in central Vietnam. Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper quoted police as saying the bodies of the six children were recovered Sunday in the central province of Phu Yen. The victims ranged in age from 13 to 16.

They were washed away when the boat they used to cross the river capsized. Phu Yen is 560 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
