Golden Bell Awards

Since 1965, the Golden Bell Awards has honored numerous television and broadcast program producers for their outstanding contributions to the broadcasting industry. This year, organized by the Ministry of Culture, the 2012 Broadcast Golden Bell Awards (廣播金鐘獎) ceremony is taking place at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (國立國父紀念館) on Oct. 19, followed by the 2012 Television Golden Bell Awards (電視金鐘獎) ceremony to be held at the same location on Oct. 26.

Overall, a total of 29 awards categorized into program, individual, advertising and radio stations groups will be presented during the 2012 Broadcast Golden Bell Awards. Among 1,040 registered entries, 132 have been selected into the list of nominees, with 21 out of the 132 entries being products of the Police Broadcasting Service (警察廣播電台) and National Education Radio (國立教育廣播電台).
