TAIPEI -- South Korean actress Ha Ji-won gave Taiwanese fans a thrill as she fired off two shots with a bow and arrow on stage in Taipei.
Dressed in a white dress, the 35-year-old actress, who is in Taiwan promoting her period TV drama "Empress Ki," wielded a red bow to fire the dulled arrow, smiling as she moved closer to her target to hit the mark with a second shot.
Some of the 300 fans gathered to see her were invited on stage to try their hand with the weapon, with Ha cheering them on.
Ha honed her archery skills for the titular role in the TV series, in which she rode horses and entered battle with arrows and swords.
Born Jeon Hae-rim, Ha has gained popularity in Taiwan for her portrayal of the titular character Empress Gi (an alternate spelling), the Korean wife of the last emperor of China's Yuan Dynasty.
Scheduled to leave Taiwan Tuesday, the actress said she feels blessed to have fans in Taiwan and hopes to return soon.
