British model Jordan weds cage-fighter in Las Vegas

LONDON -- British glamor model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, has married her cage-fighter boyfriend in Las Vegas, the couple said in a statement issued by their publicists Wednesday.

Price, 31, wed Alex Reid Tuesday, five months after finalising her divorce from ex-husband, singer Peter Andre.

“We are very much in love and look forward to the future together,” Price and Reid said in a statement issued from London.

“We can't wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes.”

The couple's relationship has been extensively played out in celebrity magazines and reality television shows.

Reid, 34, last week won the latest series of “Celebrity Big Brother” but the couple's publicist insisted they had got married because they were in love, not for business reasons.

“Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other,” the publicist said.

The couple have reportedly secured a one million pound (US$1.6 million) deal with a magazine for exclusive pictures of their wedding.
