Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick welcome twin girls

LOS ANGELES -- Sarah Jessica Parker and actor husband Matthew Broderick have welcomed twin baby girls born to a surrogate at a hospital in Ohio, a representative for the couple said Tuesday.

Local CBS television affiliate WTRF-TV reported that Parker and Broderick were on hand for the birth of the twins at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry on Monday.

The couple's representatives later confirmed the birth of daughters Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick. Elwell and Hodge are names from Parker's side of the family, a statement said.

“The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon,” the statement added.

“Sex and the City” star Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, already have a six-year-old son together, James Wilkie. The couple married in 1997.
