J.K. Rowling 'storycard' to be auctioned for charity

LONDON -- J.K. Rowling is one of 13 authors producing a "storycard" written on a blank A5 sheet as part of a charity auction in London.

The "Harry Potter" writer, plus Richard Ford, Tom Stoppard, Sebastian Faulks, Doris Lessing and Nick Hornby, have all contributed to the sale at a branch of Waterstone's, the bookseller said today.

Proceeds from the June 10 event, called "What's Your Story?" will be donated to English PEN and Dyslexia Action, said an e-mailed statement by Waterstone's, which is owned by HMV Group Plc.
