90 photographers nationwide in a round-the-clock photo relay April 26 have been posted to a blog, organizers said yesterday. The "24 hours in Taiwan" photographic activity gathered a number of pictures taken from every corner of society within a day, including some that show the production process of tofu; vendors serving delicacies at night markets in the early hours; and a postman delivering mail in the early morning.
Yang Chin-huang, who initiated the activity, said at an event to unveil the photos Tuesday that the photos impressed him the most include one of worshipers awaiting the arrival of images of deities carried on sedan chairs. He said the photo illustrates the followers' passion for traditional customs.
He also gave a special mention to another shot that shows an elderly man enjoying a roasted sausage bought from a street vendor.
