Cousins hurts knee in practice, doctors say injury 'not serious'

Clippers sale to Steve Ballmer goes through
Steve Ballmer officially became the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday. The team said the record US$2 billion sale closed after a California court confirmed the authority of Shelly Sterling, on behalf of the Sterling Family Trust, to sell the franchise to the former Microsoft CEO. Her estranged husband, Donald Sterling, had unsuccessfully fought the sale of the team he owned since 1981 in court.

Former top pick Oden released after battery arrest
Police arrested former NBA No. 1 draft pick Greg Oden on battery charges early Thursday, alleging that he punched his ex-girlfriend in the face during a fight.
The National Basketball Association slapped Raymond Felton with a four-game suspension on Thursday after the Dallas Mavericks guard pleaded guilty to gun charges in July.
U.S. star forward Kevin Durant has pulled out of the 2014 FIBA World Cup, saying he is “mentally drained” from a long NBA regular season and playoff.
